Seit 2015 verleiht das MOVE IT! Filmfestival den “Filmpreis für Menschenrechte und Entwicklung” an einen von der Festivaljury ausgewählten Film, der für seine herausragende filmische Darstellung mit Menschenrechtsbezug geehrt wird und gleichzeitig soll das besondere Engagement der Regisseur*in ausgezeichnet werden. Seit 2019 wird der Filmpreis vom „Sächsischen Staatsministerium für Kultur und Tourismus“ verliehen und ist mit 5000 Euro dotiert.
Since 2015 MOVE IT! Film Festival has been awarding the „Film Prize for Human Rights and Development“ to a film selected by the festival jury. This film is thereby honored for its outstanding cinematic presentation with a human rights focus and at the same time recognizes the special contribution of the director. Since 2019 the film prize is awarded by the „Saxon State Ministry for Culture and Tourism“ and is endowed with 5000 Euros.
